The evolution of threats, advances in surveillance technologies, and the need for increasingly specialized services have transformed the security industry over the past decade. This process will be part of the conversation that Grupo Safeteck, a sponsor of SeguridadExpo 2026, will seek to promote during its participation in the country’s leading security exhibition.

The company was founded 10 years ago with the conviction of promoting a private security sector that is more professional, technologically advanced, and attuned to the needs of each client. Since beginning operations in Chile, it has expanded its presence nationwide, growing to over 1200 employees and broadening its offerings to include areas such as monitoring, video surveillance, loss prevention, and technological solutions for various industrial sectors. All of this has been guided by a principle that has shaped its development over the past decade: promoting “technology-driven security” that combines innovation, prevention, and responsiveness.

In this context, Jorge Vallejos, CEO of Grupo Safeteck, emphasized the need to continually adapt security strategies to the new threats facing the country. “This reality compels us to constantly assess risks, update our protocols, strengthen training, and use information and technology to anticipate events. Today, security requires a preventive and comprehensive approach, but also flexibility and responsiveness. At Grupo Safeteck, we understand that we cannot address current risks with the same strategies we used a decade ago; we must constantly evolve alongside our environment,” he stated.

“Over the past 10 years, we have observed a more violent, organized, and dynamic criminal landscape, with new methods of operation and a greater ability to identify vulnerabilities. This has changed our clients’ needs and also the way we must design security services,” he said.

At the same time, the executive highlighted the progress Chile has made in incorporating technological tools for the protection of people and facilities. However, he cautioned that the challenge is no longer merely about accessing these solutions, but about effectively integrating them into operations.

“Today we see artificial intelligence, video analytics, license plate recognition, automated access control, remote monitoring, and systems capable of detecting risky situations in real time. However, this progress remains uneven. While some companies are already working with integrated solutions and high technological standards, others continue to operate with traditional systems,” he noted.

Grupo Safeteck’s participation in SeguridadExpo 2026 will focus precisely on sharing experiences regarding these transformations the industry is undergoing and learning about the new trends shaping the sector’s development.

SeguridadExpo will take place September 8–10 at Metropolitan Santiago. It is organized by FISA, part of the GL events group, and in addition to the exhibition, it will feature an international conference where the main challenges currently facing the sector—both in Chile and abroad—will be analyzed.
