On Monday, September 22, Radio Carabineros de Chile (98.1 FM) interviewed Rodrigo Bastidas, manager of the Logistics and Defense unit at Fisa, along with Lieutenant Colonel Rodrigo Von Stillfried, head of the Information and Coordination Department of the police institution, about the details of SeguridadExpo 2025.
The ninth edition of the most important security and defense fair in the region, scheduled for October 1, 2, and 3, is co-organized by Carabineros de Chile, which will be present at stands AD-06, AD-07, and B-04, showcasing the main tools used by the institution for training its forces.
In this regard, Von Stillfried extended a general invitation to the community to attend the event, pointing out that the fair “is quite cross-cutting from the point of view of security interests, both for professionals in the field and in terms of the security that is so necessary in our homes.”
He added: “We, as Carabineros de Chile, are currently working from the point of view of criminal analysis technologies, how we connect with the environment, and try to reach all areas through the Comisaría Virtual.” Von Stillfried emphasized that these and other developments will be available to the public at their stands at SeguridadExpo 2025.
Bastidas, meanwhile, emphasized the content of the conference that will take place alongside the fair: “It addresses a range of highly topical issues: border control, cybersecurity and critical infrastructure, prison matters, and a panel discussion with the presidential candidates” to learn about their positions on security.
Another highlight mentioned by Bastidas was the series of talks organized by entities such as the Association of Municipalities of Chile, the College of Security Professionals, ASIS, ASEVA, among others. “It’s a comprehensive program where visitors can go, see the exhibition, attend the conference, or go to the technical talks given by different participating companies, where they will discuss their products,” he concluded.
